At ICTE, Matrix Demos Machines for VF/F/S Bagging of Cheese and Other Dairy Products

Apr 16, 2018

At International Cheese Tech Expo, April 18-19 at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, Matrix Packaging Machinery, a product brand of ProMach, showcases the Morpheus, a continuous motion vertical form fill seal (vf/f/s) machine that is ideal for high productivity in the cheese and dairy products industry. The Morpheus produces an extensive range of package formats at up to 200 units per minute. Matrix also features the Elete DS-18, one of its top selling intermittent motion baggers. The Elete DS-18 is rated at up to 150 units per minute. (Matrix International Cheese Tech Expo Booth #633)

The Morpheus

The three models in the Morpheus Series are the most advanced vf/f/s technology offered by Matrix in terms of speed, film handling, and flexibility in bag sizes ranging from 2.75 to 15 inches wide. The Morpheus is ideal for thinner gauge films used for packaging cheeses and other dry products. Specialized sealing jaws enable the Morpheus to also run thicker gauges that require longer dwell times. The Matrix Morpheus has sanitary features specifically designed for the cheese and dairy industry including stainless-steel construction for long service life in harsh wash-down environments. Cheese packers benefiting from higher speeds now have a vf/f/s solution that can help them become more productive and profitable. The Morpheus, like all other Matrix machines, features off-the-shelf componentry that makes locating and installing replacement parts easy and at a lower cost than other packaging companies. With our full-service parts department you can either choose to source consumables yourself or work with our in-house team and let them provide you with their knowledgeable service expertise and quick shipment of any needed items directly to your facility.

The Elete

The two models in the Elete Series, the DS-13 and DS-18, helps cheese packers of all sizes and needs to increase uptime, decrease waste, and improve overall efficiency. Bag sizes range from a minimum of 3 inches wide by 2.5 inches long to 18 inches wide and 23 inches long. These competitively priced vf/f/s machines are ultra-heavy duty for long service life. They feature a stainless steel 4 by 4-inch extreme duty welded frame. Available options on the Elete include a load shelf for heavier bags and a gas flushing system for modified atmosphere packaging (MAP).

Matrix dairy industry machines are built using USDA/WDA 3A sanitary design specifications. In addition to vf/f/s solutions, Matrix offers FLtecnics horizontal form fill seal pouch machines, Toyo Jidoki pre-made pouch fillers and sealers, and INV Pack stickpack and sachet machines.

Whether the operation is packaging shredded, grated, cubed, hard, soft, or processed cheeses, in bulk or retail sizes, Matrix has a proven packaging solution. Call 888-628-7491 and visit www.MatrixPM.com to learn more.
