Learn about the Pacraft (formerly Toyo Jidoki) packaging machine line-up. What's the best pre-made machine for your product line-up?

Hi, my name is Bill Tete, and I'm a field service engineer for Matrix Packaging. With 24 years of experience in flexible packaging, I work with vertical form-fill-seal machines made in the USA. These machines produce various bag sizes, from 2.75 to 18 inches wide and up to and beyond 23 inches in length.

At Matrix, our relationship doesn't end with the sale. We provide long-term support, including an in-house parts department, a large service team strategically placed across the U.S., and ongoing sales support for new equipment. Our extensive experience spans numerous flexible packaging applications in industries such as food, beverage, bakery, candy, coffee, tea, disinfectants, sanitizers, cold chain, dried meats, IQF, pet foods, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and snack foods.

Matrix partners with FL Tecnics, INB-Pack, and Toyo Jidoki to offer a range of packaging solutions. FL Tecnics produces horizontal form-fill-seal roll stock machines, INB-Pack makes stick packs and sachet machines, and Toyo Jidoki offers pre-made pouch machines. Today, we demonstrate Toyo Jidoki machines packaging various items.

Q&A Session:

Q: Where are these machines made? A: They are made in Japan, China, and Michigan.

Q: How can customers in the United States get parts and service? A: Our parts and service are based out of Saukville, Wisconsin. We have a good parts stock and service technicians and engineers based across the U.S.

Q: Can you talk a little bit about changeover time? A: Changeover times are well under five minutes for an experienced operator. It involves entering a recipe, adjusting the width of the infeed and the width of the grippers, and you're basically done.
